RPAS Flight Reviews

RPAS Advanced Flight Review
$300.00

Transport Canada–required RPAS Advanced Flight Review conducted in accordance with CARs Part IX and TP 15395 – Flight Reviewer’s Guide.

Includes in-person ground evaluation, flight assessment, emergency procedures, and direct submission of results to the Transport Canada Drone Management Portal upon successful completion.

Prerequisites – Advanced Flight Review

Before booking an RPAS Advanced Flight Review, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully passed the Transport Canada RPAS Advanced Operations Exam

  • Provide the exam reference number issued upon successful completion of the Advanced exam

  • Operate a registered RPAS in accordance with Transport Canada requirements

  • Provide valid government-issued photo identification at the time of the review

  • Operate a Transport Canada registered RPAS (250 g – 25 kg) in compliance with CARs Part IX.

Note: Candidates are responsible for ensuring they meet all Transport Canada prerequisites prior to booking. Failure to meet prerequisites may result in cancellation without refund.

Level 1 Complex Flight Review
$500.00

Transport Canada–required Level 1 Complex (BVLOS) RPAS Flight Review conducted in accordance with CARs Part IX and TP 15395 – Flight Reviewer’s Guide.

Includes in-person ground evaluation, flight assessment, manual flight control without direct visual reference, emergency procedures, and direct submission of results to the Transport Canada Drone Management Portal upon successful completion.

Prerequisites – Level 1 Complex

Before booking a Level 1 Complex (BVLOS) RPAS Flight Review, the candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Successfully passed the Transport Canada RPAS Advanced Operations Exam

  • Successfully passed the Transport Canada RPAS Level 1 Complex Operations Exam

  • Provide the exam reference numbers issued upon successful completion of both exams

  • Operate a registered RPAS in accordance with Transport Canada requirements

  • Provide valid government-issued photo identification at the time of the review

  • Ensure the aircraft being used is airworthy and compliant with CARs Part IX

  • Operate a Transport Canada registered RPAS (250 g – 25 kg) in compliance with CARs Part IX.

  • Be prepared to operate with a Visual Observer (VO) or approved Detect-and-Avoid (DAA) method, as required by the flight review scenario

Scheduling & Review Location

  • After purchasing the flight review:

  • Scheduling and review location will be assigned by the RPAS Flight Reviewer

  • The selected location will be based on airspace, site suitability, and operational requirements

  • Final scheduling details will be confirmed via email

  • You will receive a confirmation email containing:

  • Date, time, and review location

  • Reviewer contact information

  • Any required pre-review documentation or instructions

  • If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder or contact us directly.

Conduct of the Flight Review

To ensure a fair, safe, and standardized evaluation:

Flight reviews are evaluations, not training sessions

The flight reviewer may pause, terminate, or reschedule the review if safety is compromised

Weather, airspace restrictions, or site conditions may require rescheduling

All flight reviews are conducted in accordance with:

  • CARs Part IX

  • TP 15395 – Flight Reviewer’s Guide

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Cancellations with More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

  • Eligible for a refund minus a 10% administrative fee, or

  • One reschedule at no additional cost

Cancellations Within 24 Hours of the Scheduled Review

  • Subject to a $150 late-cancellation fee

  • Remaining balance will be refunded or credited toward rescheduling

No-Show / Absence Without Notice

  • No refund will be issued

A “no-show” includes failure to attend the scheduled flight review, failure to arrive at the agreed location and time, or failure to present required documentation or a compliant aircraft.
